New Release Date for Chris Brown’s Graffiti

Chris BrownI’m not sure how a date change would really make a difference in ‘s life at this point, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt for him to try.

Although the 20-year-old singer’s upcoming album was originally set for release on December 15, it will now be made available one week earlier.

Why would Chris want Graffiti dropped closer to Rihanna’s own release date (Nov. 23)? Closer to the unveiling of his ex’s 20/20 interview? Who knows? Maybe Jive Records figures it’s best to take advantage of any publicity - good or bad?

Whatever the reason, the CD comes shortly after Brown kicks off a list of performances. He’ll kick off his Fan Appreciation tour in Houston on November 14 and wrap up in New York on December 15.

Mariah Carey Thinks You’re Obsessed With Her

Butterfly...Dreamlover...Hero...Emotions...Fantasy...Forever...Heartbreaker...Honey...Someday...Vanishing. Fresh from ‘s 12th studio album is - you guessed it - another one-word titled song.

In “Obsessed,” the diva repeatedly asks the man in her life, “Why you so obsessed with me?” After looking at her new cover art, I’d personally like to know why Mariah’s so obsessed with her own body. (I think I’ve seen every bra she owns by now.)

Like the new track? Then download Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel when it drops on August 25th.

Whitney Houston’s New Album Arrives This Fall

How do you know Whitney Houston’s about to make a comeback? Because there’s a countdown on her website that tells us so.

Although it’s still hard to get visions of Whitney Houston saying “Kiss My Ass” out of our heads (Thank you, Joel McHale), the singer has been working hard to repair her image since her 2007 divorce from Bobby Brown. She even returned to the television spotlight during February’s Grammys.

Eminem back with Relapse

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Rumors, Videos, Hip-Hop & Rap

It’s been years since we heard from rap superstar Eminem, but just as quickly as he disappeared from the scene four years ago, talk of his return is taking over at the water cooler of hip hop. His last original album was Encore (iTunes), back in 2004. A year later he released a greatest hits album, Curtain Call, with no new material on it. Then in 2006 he led a project called The Re-Up, but again, his lyrical contributions were sparse. Just when we were about to write off Slim Shady, we got word that he was going to be dropping an album by the end of the year. We figured that was near impossible, so we didn’t report on it. Then, out of nowhere, everywhere we turned we were reading quotes from Eminem himself, saying he has been back in the studio, and is aiming at getting his album, Relapse, out the door before the end of 2008. That means sometime in the next 9 weeks or so.

A taster track, “I’m Having a Relapse”, has already been leaked to the Internet, and is featured in the video above. Do be aware that there is some offensive language in the track. Rumor has it that Dr. Dre is producing most of the album (which likely explains the delay in his album, Detox,) and if that is the case, then we can likely expect a return to the roots of The Slim Shady LP (iTunes) and The Marshall Mathers LP (iTunes), both runaway hits. 50 Cent is also reportedly working with Eminem on the album as well. Hopefully, we’ll find out if Em is truly back again before Christmas.
