First Look: Beyonce and Lady Gaga Star in Video Phone

It should go without saying that any music video involving Lady Gaga will probably be…unusual. But who expected this from ?

The minute you see the Reservoir Dogs-style open, you know “Video Phone” will be a wild ride. (It is directed by Hype Williams after all.) Men with cameras as heads? Sasha Fierce armed with futuristic outfits, a Bettie page haircut…and guns? Gaga looking…normal?

I can only imagine what other projects these two ladies have collaborated on. Well, actually - I probably can’t.

Spears is Game for 3 in New Music Video

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music Videos, Pop

A Pussycat Dolls-esque dance line? Plunging necklines and thongs? A song about threesomes? What more could anyone want from ?

Considering the subject matter, this video for “3” is actually surprisingly tame. Given her performance in “Womanizer,” I’m shocked she kept her clothes on this time around.

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music Videos, Country

In “Fifteen,” the fourth song from ‘s album Fearless, the country star sings about her friend Abigail (who appears in this video) and a painful breakup she experienced a few years ago.

“‘Cause when you’re fifteen and somebody tells you they love you/ You’re gonna believe them/ When you’re fifteen and your first kiss/ Makes your head spin ‘round/ But in your life you’ll do things greater than/ Dating the boy on the football team/ But I didn’t know it at fifteen.”

Whitney Houston unveils I Look to You video

Whitney Houston’s GMA performance may have had its flaws (it’s all your fault, Oprah!), but she’s looking flawless here.

In this new video for “I Look to You,” the diva comes very close - very close - to making us all forget her years on Being Bobby Brown. (Though I’m secretly hoping she won’t.)

This clip arrives just after Houston’s CD of the same name hit #1 on the album charts. The last time the artist achieved that (outside of The Bodyguard soundtrack) was in 1987 with Whitney.

Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye in Run This Town video

So what does it take to properly “Run This Town”? Judging by , Rihanna and Kanye West’s appearances, the key is fashionable eyewear. (Sexy stockings also apparently help.)

In this video for Jay-Z’s new single, the trio rallies a group of torch-bearing, bandana-wearing followers to do…something. Maybe they’ll be in the crowd when the song is performed on Jay Leno’s new show?

New Music Video for Mel Gibson’s Girlfriend

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music Videos, Classical

Mel Gibson recently said that he found himself attracted to Oksana Grigorieva’s talent before he actually met the singer. Now the actor/director is dating the Russian musician, the mother of soon-to-be eighth child.

On her new album, Beautiful Heartache, the 39-year-old is credited as the sole writer on every song with the exception of one. For “Say My Name,” which can be seen above, the classically trained pianist received lyrical help from Gibson. “It is naked, intimate, raw emotion, little more than piano and voice as if it is a cry from the soul,” Oksana said of the song. [NOTE: Mel also had a hand in directing the boring video.]

If you like the sampling, you can check out more of Grigorieva’s work through her website.
