Miley Cyrus and Flaming Lips are recording a Beatles cover.
The "Adore" hitmaker and the rock band have announced they have teamed up in the studio and are in the process of creating their own version of the 1967 hit "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds."
Frontman Wayne Coyne took to Instagram yesterday to announce the collaboration. He posted a picture of Miley, 21, in the studio, accompanied with the caption, "Miley in the studio vomiting diamonds while singing Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds!! If you're a Beatles and John Lennon freak you gonna love love love this track!! Got Andrew from MGMT too!!!! [sic]."
Wayne, 53, hinted at a possible collaboration last Friday when he posted a picture of Miley rolling a cigarette, but he failed to divulge too much information. "Recording with Miley... High as f**k..." he wrote.
Miley Cyrus has defended her use of little people as backing dancers.
The "We Can't Stop" star is accompanied by short people on stage for her current Bangerz Tour, but insists they are employed to have fun rather than just because of their height.
Talking to MSNBC's Ronan Farrow, she said, "We're making them feel sexual and beautiful." Speaking more specifically about one of the dancers, she added, "We're all about lifting her up and making her feel so sexy all the time, and having her dance - she's actually an awesome dancer. They're just like dancing, doing these cute moves and they're awesome dancers just on their own. It's not me telling them how to be. It's really funny how serious people take it. And [people are] like, 'You're racist.' And I'm like, 'Really?' We're like a bunch of kids dancing around in, like, bear [suits], we don't do choreography."
Miley Cyrus kissed Katy Perry at her concert on Saturday night.
The "Adore You" hitmaker took a moment to lock lips with the brunette beauty while performing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, as part of her Bangerz World Tour, after spotting the 29-year-old star singing along in the front row. But "I Kissed a Girl" singer Katy, who is dating John Mayer, pulled away when Miley, 21, tried to stick her tongue in her mouth, according to gossip website TMZ.com. The "Dark Horse" singer shared an aftermath photograph, which features the "Wrecking Ball" singer with her mouth hanging open in shock and Katy covering her mouth with her hand, on Twitter with the caption, "And after! I adore you @Miley Cyrus."

Miley Cyrus has hit back at critics who have called for her Bangerz Tour to be canceled.
The 21-year-old singer kicked off her raunchy world tour in Vancouver, Canada, last week and has come under fire for antics such as simulating a sex act on a man wearing a Bill Clinton mask, but Miley insists she gave fans a pre-warning her shows would be X-rated.
"You can't say I didn't warn you. Now sit back relax & enjoy the show. #bangerztour [sic]," she wrote on Twitter yesterday. The tweet was accompanied by a picture of Miley on stage in a revealing outfit exposing her butt.
The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker then blasted her critics by telling them to "save" their outrage. "Save your complaints for the McDonalds drive thru when they forget the 'fries with that' [sic]," she quipped.
Miley Cyrus appeared through a replica of her own mouth to open her Bangerz Tour in Canada last night.
The "We Can't Stop" star entered through an opening in a picture of her face and slid down a huge pink tongue extending to the stage on the opening night of the tour in Vancouver. The controversial singer showed off plenty of sexy dance moves including Twerking - the butt shaking dance she popularized last year - up against a giant blue teddy bear, rubbing her crotch, riding a hot dog and sucking on a foam finger.
The "Party in the USA" hitmaker opened the show in a red studded two-piece, before changing into a leotard printed with marijuana leaves and wearing a golden cannabis leaf around her neck, which she paired with white cowboy boots. She admitted her nerves before the performance, tweeting, "I don't know if it's Valentines Day or #BangerzTour but I'm most definitely having a panic attack."
Miley Cyrus doesn't mind if people don't buy her Bangerz album.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer claims she wouldn't have cared if her latest record - which was a number one album in the US, Australia and the UK - wasn't a huge seller as she is comfortable financially and more interested in making an artistic statement with her music.
"I've made my money. If no one buys my album, cool. It's fine. I've got a house, and I've got dogs that I love. I don't need anything else," she told W.
Miley, 21, may be seen as a hard-partying figure with her notorious live appearances in skimpy outfits with her tongue hanging out, but she insists when she is at home in California she rarely goes out: "I never leave the house. Why go to a movie? I've got a huge-ass TV. We've got a chef here that can make you great food. We don't need to leave. I would just rather be here where I'm completely locked in."
Miley Cyrus is set to perform with Madonna.
The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker has roped in the pop veteran to duet with her on her upcoming MTV Unplugged special. The unlikely pair were rehearsing on the Hollywood soundstage yesterday, with the collaboration due to air on Wednesday night.
"The performance will showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus and feature surprise guests for an unexpected re-invention of the songs that have defined her career, including several from her #1 critically acclaimed album, Bangerz. Miley and her fans have always had an intimate and direct connection through her music, personality and no-holds-barred attitude and the Unplugged stage will serve as the perfect platform for her to show viewers what inspires and ignites her music and her passions," MTV commented.
Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears' raunchy music videos have been banned from daytime television in France.
The country's broadcasting watchdog Conseil Superieur de l'Audiovisuel (CSA) has ruled that channels can only show Miley's "Wrecking Ball" and Britney's "Work B***h" videos after a 10pm watershed.
According to CSA, the "Wrecking Ball" promo, which shows Miley swinging naked on a demolition ball and licking a sledge hammer is too sexually explicit. The "Work B***h" video, which shows Britney in bondage dress portrays "a sadomasochistic universe representing women in a way that risks shocking many viewers."
The watchdog said that some French TV channels were showing the videos in the daytime without parental guidance warnings, according to Sky News.
Miley Cyrus thinks Beyonce's pop career has peaked.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer has claimed the star is out of touch with modern music and believes she can take her place at the top of the music ladder, Speaking in the new issue of Love magazine, Miley said, "Beyonce has been a big inspiration to me but she's been out for such a long time. She's so talented and I think she's at the top of the game now but people are always looking for new blood and that's what I bring to the game now, new blood, I got the total package you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I'm just the best."
Miley, 21, is determined to knock queen of pop Beyonce, 32, off her throne and believes her rival's focus is now on raising her daughter Blue Ivy - who turns two next week - with her husband Jay Z: "As Beyonce grows in motherhood and all the crap it does to your body, it will create a vacuum for fresh young faces to rise up and no one else can properly fill that void right now. I'm the only white female singer that could fill that slot right now and do it right.
This year's Christmas was a busy time for pop stars: while Justin Bieber announced his retirement, Miley Cyrus was dealing with the leak of her new music video, "Adore You."
Although the new video (seen above) was due for unveiling today, someone leaked it yesterday online, prompting Cyrus to vent on her Twitter: "We all know [my fans] would break another record if it wasn't for the f*** face who leaked my video. Alllllll good! Keep smiling [sic]."
