Ian Brown was arrested yesterday for allegedly attacking his wife.
The former Stone Roses singer was taken into custody on suspicion of assault after neighbors alerted police to a disturbance at his west London home. When officers arrived, Fabiola Quiroz, the mother of Ian’s 9-year-old son, told officers her husband had abused her.
“A 46-year-old man was arrested at the address and taken to a police station,” a police spokesman confirmed. The “Stellify” singer was later released on bail until a hearing next month.

Lil Wayne Faces One Year in Jail

Who knew Lil Wayne‘s Behind the Music special would become so dated…so quickly?
A fourth child isn’t the only thing the rapper is facing in the months to come. Come February, the 27-year-old may be sentenced to up to one year in jail.
Earlier today, the Grammy award winner pleaded guilty to an attempted weapons possession charge. The plea bargain - which reversed an earlier “not guilty” declaration - spared Lil Wayne (a.k.a. Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) from what could have been 3.5 years following a jury trial.
Thursday’s legal matter stemmed from a July 2007 police search of his tour bus. DNA tests conducted later linked Carter to a .40-caliber gun found on board. Unfortunately, today’s agreement with prosecutors won’t put an end to Dwayne’s troubles. He still faces drug and weapons possession charges from a January 2008 incident in Arizona.

Boy George Has Monitoring Device Removed

Boy George has had a monitoring device allowing police to monitor his whereabouts removed.
The Culture Club singer was sentenced to wear the tag on his ankle at all times as a condition of his early release from jail for his assault and false imprisonment of a male escort in 2007. He has also had a curfew, which was placed on him as part of his bail terms, lifted. Posting a picture of his ankle with the tag on his Twitter page, George wrote underneath it “The Final Countdown.”
George, 48, then posted another picture, of his bare leg, with a reference to finally being free underneath it. He later uploaded another picture of his family celebrating his release from the tag, writing underneath: “Me and the whole family celebrating in the kitchen, so sweet for my mum and sister to come for the un-tagging!”

Akon Pleads Guilty for Fan-Throwing Incident
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Artist News, Videos, Hip-Hop & Rap
Over a year after tossing a fan off a concert stage, hip-hop artist Akon finally learned his punishment.
The performer, who was once facing over a year in jail, plead guilty to second-degree harassment today. The charge stemmed from a June 2007 when Akon appeared at a KFEST event in Fishkill, NY. When the singer was hit by a flying object (you can see that moment at around the :13 mark), he asked that the culprit be brought to the stage. That was when Akon (a.k.a. Aliaune Thiam) took matters into his own hands.
Since prosecutors agreed to drop a child endangerment charge, the 35-year-old was slapped with just a $250 fine and 65 hours of community service.
