VIDEO: Paul McCartney Performs on David Letterman

Over 45 years after he first visited with The Beatles, Paul McCartney returned to the Ed Sullivan Theater last night. His appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman was laced with history, humor and a high performance from on top the outdoor marquee.
In the clip above, you can see him perform “Coming Up,” “Band on the Run,” “Let Me Roll It,” “Helter Skelter” and “Back in the U.S.S.R.” to the large crowd below. Then after the jump, check out a portion of McCartney’s interview with the late night host.

U2 Books Weeklong Letterman Gig

U2 will be making up for lost time.
Next month the band will be performing not once, not twice…but five times on the Late Show with David Letterman. The appearances, which come almost eight years after the group’s last visit to the program, will all happen over consecutive nights. This is a first for the CBS show.
The gigs have been scheduled for the week of March 2-6. Not so coincidentally, the band’s next album, No Line on the Horizon, will be released on March 3.
