Underwood, Paisley Return as CMA Hosts

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Artist News, Awards, Country

Brad Paisley and Carrie UnderwoodIf it feels like 2009 is a rehash of 2008, there might be reason. First, Russell Brand is asked to host the VMAs for the second time. Now, and Brad Paisley are being given return gigs.

Last year’s Male and Female Vocalists of the Year will once again front the CMAs during the broadcast this fall. Combined, the two country stars have already racked up a total of 16 award from “Country Music’s Biggest Night.”

“I am thrilled to get the chance to co-host the CMAs for a second time with my pal, Carrie,” Paisley said. “This year we’ll pull out all the stops, like a miniature poodle balancing act, tightrope walking, and a new world record for the number of costume changes by my co-host. Don’t miss it!”

The 43rd Annual CMA Awards will air live November 11 on ABC.
