Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Announcements, Cell Phones, Features

That's right, we are giving away a brand new LG Optimus G Pro for Mother's Day! After all, it's time to thank the moms in your life for their hard work, and the LG Optimus G Pro is just the phone to do that with. In fact, here are a few reasons why we think she'll love it:
- The LG Optimus G Pro sports a 13 megapixel camera, letting mom capture all those important and impromptu family moments, and includes features like VR Panorama, Cheese Shutter, and Time Catch Shot.
- It's got a 5.5-inch display. That puts it almost in tablet territory. Mini tablet, if you will. So watching videos, reading books, and surfing the web are done without having to suffer through tiny fonts.
- The device has almost no bezel. That keeps it thin and easy to hold, despite the larger display size. Very comfortable in the hand.
The LG Optimus G Pro can be had for $199.99 with two-year contract from AT&T, but we are giving you the opportunity to win one right here from Gear Live, courtesy of AT&T. So, how do you enter to win? Simply use the widget below to keep track of your entries! We've got a lot of ways for you to enter, but don't check off any that you don't actually perform. Mariah Carey Feels Pressure to Complete Album
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Collaborations, Upcoming Releases, Pop, New Releases
Mariah Carey feels there is a "lot of pressure" on her new album. The diva released comeback track "#Beautiful," featuring Miguel, on Monday and is racing to complete her eleventh studio album in time for summer.
Taking about a release date, she told radio host Ryan Seacrest, "Probably we're talking about earlier than mid-summer, which is a lot of pressure on me because I want these last few records to be just as good as the first records I started."
Mariah wrote "#Beautiful" with Miguel and was impressed with how in tune with each other they both were in the studio. "We got together, he had starting writing this song with just the guitar riff. And I have to say this about him as a collaborator, sometimes when you haven't worked with somebody you don't know really what they do in the studio... And if they have the same kind of love for music that I have... And he's the truth. We just wanted to do something different that has a texture that feels fresh," she explained.

Blur Recording New Album

Blur are starting work on a new album.
The "Parklife" band will work on their first record since 2003's Think Tank - which didn't include guitarist Graham Coxon - after having to pull out of some dates in their current tour.
Speaking during a concert at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo on Sunday singer Damon Albarn said, "We were supposed to play in Taiwan and Japan next week, but due to unforeseen circumstances we weren't able to go there. So we have a week in Hong Kong, so we thought it would be a good time to try and record another record."
After touring Think Tank, Blur - which also includes bass player Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree - went on hiatus so its members could pursue other projects. They reunited in 2008 and started playing live in 2009. The band then released two tracks, "The Puritan" and "Under the Westway," last year.

Paramore Cancelled Salt Lake City Gig
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Concerts / Tours, Pop, Rock
Paramore cancelled a gig on Monday to give Hayley Williams time to recover from a virus.
The "Now" rockers - Hayley, Jeremy Davis and Taylor York- called off their performance in Salt Lake City, Utah, to allow the frontwoman to regain good health after being struck with a sore throat last Tuesday and then food poisoning.
Hayley took to her Tumblr to offer her sincere apologies to the groups' fans and give her account of the vicious virus. "This started last week when we were meant to play [talk show] Conan. And I woke up feeling really sick. I thought it was just a sore throat but didn't want to risk not being well for our own shows, so we cancelled. I stayed in and got some food and, of course, caught food poisoning from it... Because, why not? Not to get all graphic on you but it was a lot like that scene in The Exorcist where she projectile pukes green and it's really violent. That ended up burning my throat which made it sore all over again. Then to make matters worse I woke up a couple of days later having gotten some sort of virus, which is what I'm still dealing with now. Clearly, it has not been my week," she wrote.

Lil Wayne Loses Endorsement Deal
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Hip-Hop & Rap
Lil Wayne has lost a multi-million dollar endorsement deal with an American beverage giant.
The "Lollipop" rapper - who has epilepsy and suffered another seizure on Tuesday night - has been dropped by Mountain Dew over controversial lyrics that he penned about historic Mississippi teenager Emmett Till, who was beaten and murdered in a racist attack in 1955 after he allegedly flirted with a white woman.
The soft drinks brand, which is owned by PepsiCo, confirmed they have severed ties with the rapper and dropped their joint "DeWezzy" campaign on Friday because he wrote the line "beat the p***y up like Emmett Till" for the remix of Future's track "Karate Chop," which was leaked online in February.
"We do not plan any additional work with Lil Wayne moving forward. His offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand," a spokesperson said.

One Direction have started working on a new album..
The "Little Things" pop stars are hoping to release the follow-up to 2012's "Take Me Home" by the end of the year, but Louis Tomlinson has insisted the band won't be hurrying themselves. "We've already started recording the new album, we started about a month ago. We've been writing and recording it while on tour. We are really happy with it. We don't want to rush it, but it will be out for Christmas," he said.
The group - whose line-up is completed by Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan - were rumored to be wanting to take several months off to work on the record, but it is said the quintet remain "career minded."
